Pratsam Recorder

Simple digital recording software

Pratsam Recorder is is a PC-software used to digitally record talking newspapers and other content. The software is designed to be simple to use for volunteers without computer skills to record spoken audio and upload it to a server. Using either a regular keyboard or a custom designed control panel the user can control the software.

Sort recorded content

When the recording machine is first started the user chooses what publication and date to record. Each publication can have a pre-defined structure and the user places the recorded articles in the correct sections, for example, the results from last nights football game is recorded under Sports and the stock news are recorded under Economy.

Easy to correct errors

When recording an article the user sees a graphical representation of the audio. Should the user mis-pronounce a word or make another mistake it can easily be corrected within the program. The user can also review the recorded content and move articles between sections as well as upload it to the distribution server with one keypress. The user can also work on the same publication for several days, articles are automatically saved between session.

Content is sent via the internet

When the user is finished with the recording the audio content is sent to Pratsam Server where it gets converted into a standard Daisy book and distributed to the subscribers.
